MEDITATIONS OF SUPERMAN is a cosmic fantasy narrative told through ambient audio, poetic verses, and illustrated animated visuals. It is an on-going concept album with new tracks to be developed.

I am not a musician, but I am an experimental artist and lover of music, so I decided I would embark on a journey to create a soundscape that would immerse the listener within a narrative. MEDITATIONS OF SUPERMAN is, a cosmic fantasy narrative written by myself, Avery Nakashima. The project is a strange mix of poetic storytelling and ambient music that aims to create a dramatic experiential odyssey for the listener. Each track is accompanied by an animated illustration depicting a visualization of the narrative. As of now, there are three available tracks; Cosmic Being, Forever Circle, and Paradise Lost, with the intention of more tracks to be added in time. You could consider this project to be an on-going concept album that will continue to develop and further the narrative.

All of these tracks are available under a CC-BY license, meaning you are free to remix and use the audio yourself so long as you give proper credit.

–PART 1–

01 –COSMIC BEING

To think an endless ocean,
A cosmos of a billion stars and galaxies,
So vast and astounding,
Would leave its only inhabitant,
A cosmic being with dominion over all of time and space,
As merely, a lonely God.

02 -FOREVER CIRCLE

On gentle worlds, he slept in peaceful somber,
Contemplating the meaning of existence.
But in dreams, the demons of memory,
Gnawed upon his mind.
So he flew, seeking refuge from the demons,
Out of worlds, and unto dark abysses he went forth,
Until he returned to gentle worlds once more,
But alas, he would circle.
Forever circle.

03 -PARADISE LOST

He was born under a red sun,
In a war among stars,
Where the light had flickered null,
And hate would bury them all.

But under the collapsing star,
A desperate Mother,
With no where to run,
And no where to hide,
Prayed for her son,
Out of the crying world.

04 -FALLEN

In attempt to break the circle,
The Lonely God ventured further and farther,
Deeper into the cold expanse,
Far beyond the gentle worlds he knew.
A lonesome journey, yet not without beauty,
For the stars shone his way,
And away he went,
Into that silent night…



From out of the depths of a black star,
A streak of light cut through the infinite black,
And without warning, his all powerful being was fallen,
His heart, pierced by an arrow of blight.
And from out of skies, he fell through time and space,
And unto the arms,
Of an angel.
