Avery: I have been working very hard on a project of mine called Meditations of Superman. It’s a sci-fi narrative project that uses ambient music to create a soundscape that coincides with the narration as well as the illustration. It is a very unique project, one that has taken me quite a long time to create—almost 2 years or longer at this point. Of course, most of that time was spent procrastinating and not necessarily knowing what I was doing.

Beauty is Magic – A Poem
-Beauty is Magic-
Something beautiful unwraps the air
Cold like the morning Autumn breeze
As the birds sing an invitation to Winter
Waiting for the sunlight to warm our jaded heads from slumber
We desire to be innocent
To be the nature we admire
But as natural as breath
We fall into ourselves
As we are washed away by the colors
I want to gaze
Not with calcified eyes
But with unclouded judgment
Into the abyss that stares back
And from the dark of the mist
I accept the truth
That my eyes do not deceive
But are a looking glass
To nothing supernatural
But a spectacle as I now know
An acceptance of natural miracle
And a knowing that beauty is magic

Fear of Change – Poem by Wil Gillette
Avery: My good friend Wil Gillete asked me to film for a video of him performing an original poem of his titled: Fear of Change. This was such a great experience trying to shoot by firelight, I was unsure of how it would turn out, but the visual was astonishing! Never have I worked in such dark conditions like this before, but I came prepared with a large aperture camera lens… That being a cheap 35$ lens I bought off of Amazon! Shocking! I know! But it did the trick with my Sony ZV-E10!
The Lens I used is called the Fotasy 35mm Manual E-mount lens and for such a cheap deal this lens was fantastic to work with!

Some Halloween Vibes
Avery: The month of October is coming to a close, but I want to go out with a bang!
“That Monolith” – A Sci-fi Short Story
Avery: This is a short comic that I wrote & illustrated for what was and hopefully still will be a long form story.
“Stranger Worlds Than These” is the intended title of this sci-fi series, with this short tale as the introduction.
With it being Halloween month, I thought what better time to turn this short comic into a voice acted short film then now? Please enjoy!

A few years ago, we shot a short film using one of Kai’s custom made Puppets, it’s a silly little short film starring Avery and the puppet named Roger the Raven. This short has been sitting on the backburner unedited for awhile now, but Avery finally finished it. Please enjoy “Bird Watching Gone Wrong”
We Made A Hobbit House
A couple of months ago, we began work on a brand new mural in Pensacola Florida, a mural commissioned by a good friend and neighbor of ours.
Over the last few years we have painted multiple murals themed around nature and animals, but this time it is a little bit different.
Natural Wonders – Video Poem
You are real like color,
Ineffable, but true.
As true as sound,
As true as touch,
Vivid and cosmic,
Like a Natural Wonder.
