THINKING IN RAINBOWS – Poetry & Art

Here is a new poetry collection from Arianna and I. It contains poems and art from the both of us, including art works we collaborated on. This first “Rainbow” titled poetry collection is the first installment of a colorful series, so if you like the art from this book, there is more to come! I have so far compiled three books for this series, but for now, enjoy “Thinking In Rainbows”.

Here Be Life: Nature Poetry

Another nature-themed collection of poetry by me and Arianna. Enjoy the prose and art inspired by the natural world!

We are meant to be in a relationship with Mother Nature, and even when we are not, life still goes on. No matter where you are in the world, even if in the midst of a city, take a moment to “see”.

A single tree, a single bird, even a single flower, can still remind us that life is always here, and always will be.

A Love Poetry Collection; Happy Valentines Day!

For Valentine’s Day this year, I present a book of poetry written by Kai and me. The theme being love, it covers not only romantic love, but love in all other forms as well.

I gave it the title “The Unlocking Of The Heart”after the very last poem in the book. That poem was written several years ago, but I feel it’s story and emotion has become more important to me, hence I gave it’s name to the book itself.

I truly hope you enjoy reading these poems, and that they remind and reveal to you the many faces and forms of love. And knowing that in the end, the most important thing we can give this world is the unlocking of our own hearts. For once we can do this, who knows what is possible?

A very Happy Valentine’s Day to you all.

In Abstract Dimensions – Poetry Collection

In Abstract Dimensions is another poetry collection I put together, full of both rhymed, and free-verse poems of no particular theme. This collection spans from poetry I wrote years ago, to poetry I created this year. Inspiration came from experiences, dreams, and brain-stormed ideas. Although I did not put any of my art in this one (except for the cover) this book ended up being over 40 pages of poetry!

The backgrounds are my hand at digital art, so I hope you’ll enjoy them!

A Reason For Changing: New Poetry Book

Here is another new poetry collection by Arianna and I. I regret not having pictures to fill this book, but I wanted to get this particular poetry theme out as soon as possible, so I had to forgo them. The theme is children; both children, and the inner-child. I wanted to put forth this poetry collection as quickly as the idea came to me, because I feel that right now, we need to be inspired by children – ours, our inner-child, and children of humanity. We owe so much to the ones that we have dismantled the futures of. These poems are not coming from individuals who have kids themselves, but from a place of knowing, and remembering how it felt to be a child in a world that was taking a steep turn right before our eyes – and still is. We were all once children, and I think deep down we all know what we wanted to be as we grew older – good people. This is something we can still put into practice for the sake of those who have not even lived life yet.

So please, be good to the world that your children are going to be living in.

Our Beloved Pets and Other Funny Stuff

Cov

Please take a look at I and Arianna’s new art and poetry book. I have joined our poems, photos, art, and a few of my comics into an entertaining compilation of funny and amusing poems we’ve written over the years – some of them, more relevant than ever. Much of the content is based on the joy and humor our beloved companions share with us, including a comic/short story called Milo the Millionaire! I wish to make light of some of the things we’ve all been going through lately, so I hope this book can bring a laugh, a smile, or even if just a little breather to your day. This is sure to bring pet lovers a little joy, so please share!

The Pyramid’s Return

Cov

Extremely abstract, this poetic short story, completely rhymed, unlike my other poetry novel, Facing the Phoenix, came about some years ago, after watching some fantasy themed movies, which inspired this piece. I gradually added to it, and detailed it with other poems I had sitting around, to enrich the “end of the world” scenario, and make it my own.

I am proud to say that this time around, the graphics in the background are mine – super simple, but I like them, and I never do digital art, so this is a first. Avery still takes credit for helping me put the book together though, and he always figures out a way to make the cover compelling, even when I choose a difficult art piece!

Follow “Soldier” through an adventurous maze of descriptive places and exciting danger as she finds out just how much trouble her world is in. With her sister, “Flower”, Flower’s boyfriend, “Killer” (also referred to as Young Man), their friends, “Boy”, “Girl”, “Cat”, “Civilian”, and his son, “Shine”, Soldier sets out to save the world, and prevent their planet from being infiltrated by the “Worst Fear”. What happens if the Worst Fear takes over? Perhaps “Salem”, or the mysterious “King El” knows. Soldier and her friends must rise to the top to aid the world and the people they love.

Not Just Me: A Poetic Perspective On Humanity

Cov

As said in the introduction, I’ve been an “animal person” most of my life, less interested in people due to the great disconnects often promoted in society throughout time. For many, I  could see how this caused immense harm to them, and I of course, could feel it within myself as well. That is how much of this poetry came to be. While most of it is deep and insightful, I tried to add a touch of cheer to this book by including a couple of my Holiday poems, and a few inspirational pieces.

I intended for this book to be reflective, though my hope is that one day I’ll have a collection of human-themed poetry that will be far more celebratory. “Not Just Me” is dedicated to those ready to wake up, be inspired, understand themselves, learn from the past, and so on. I am ready for change, and I hope you are too.
