We’ve been meaning to put a video of this together for awhile now. Back in 2023 Kai & Avery did a personal Mural for a client of an American Eagle. This mural was done in 3 days and turned out pretty great! Thought this would be perfect for sharing today… For those in America celebrating today, have fun and stay safe!

Avery: Creating art—whether it’s comics, novels, video games, animation, or any kind of big project—takes more time than many of us realize. Often, we don’t see the true scope of how long these endeavors can take until we’re deep into development. Storytelling, inspiring others, building immersive worlds, this is all good, but it can come with a sacrifice, especially when working on ambitious projects.

Continue reading Meditations of Superman Track 05: Destroying AngelAvery: Finally, after almost a year without another release, I present to you the 4th track to my Meditations of Superman series. If you do not know, this project is a cosmic fantasy ambient soundscape narrative told across a number of tracks. I’m not a musician, just someone whom likes to work with whatever creative medium he can get his hands on!
In total their will likely be 14 or more tracks, so keep an eye out, you will see the remainder of this project release hopefully this year. With another track definitely releasing in the next two weeks.
Avery: Making art, whether it’s comics, videos, or any other form, is a challenge regardless of skill. While working on my comic, I realized the sheer volume of work required—writing scripts, creating thumbnails, and illustrating final pages. Even with the time I have, it feels daunting to know that I may be facing years of effort for just one story. The temptation to cut corners is strong, but I know that sacrificing story and quality isn’t what I want. Instead, I must embrace imperfection and keep moving forward.
Continue reading Making a Comic & Sharing it is HardAvery: I have been working very hard on a project of mine called Meditations of Superman. It’s a sci-fi narrative project that uses ambient music to create a soundscape that coincides with the narration as well as the illustration. It is a very unique project, one that has taken me quite a long time to create—almost 2 years or longer at this point. Of course, most of that time was spent procrastinating and not necessarily knowing what I was doing.
